Yitka Winn is a writer, editor, mountain jogger, and burrito enthusiast. She missed the 36-hour cutoff of her first 100-miler by three minutes, but she’s come a long way since then. She’s the three-time winner of Cascade Crest 100, and has been a contributing editor for Trail Runner since 2013. She’s also the author of Beer Hiking Colorado, and is currently at work on a memoir. (Spoiler alert: It has to do with running.) The Pacific Northwest is her adopted home, where she lives with her husband, toddler daughter, and portly tuxedo cat.
