In July 2016, Yassine Diboun, Scott Loughney and Travis Liles, set off on an attempt to set a new supported fastest known time (FKT) on the Oregon section of the Pacific Crest Trail, a 453-mile stretch with some of the trail’s most rugged terrain.

Diboun, 38, of Portland, Oregon is a professional trail runner, with podium finishes at Hawaii’s HURT 100, Washington’s Cascade Crest 100 and Oregon’s Gorge Waterfalls 100K to his name. Loughney and Liles both work full time, Loughney as a wealth manager and Liles as a software engineer, and have dozens of 100-mile finishes between them.

On July 16, 2016, the three ultrarunners set off from the California border. Just 8 days 12 hours and 5 minutes later,  Loughney and Diboun (Liles dropped due to injury) reached Bridge of the Gods, the trail’s northern terminus at the Oregon-Washington border.

The full film documenting their journey is available for rent or purchase.
