It’s no secret that a number of top trail runners have turned to ski mountaineering, or “ski mo,” as a low-impact off-season sport. Among the familiar names who raced the Aspen Power of Four on February 27 were Mike Foote, Rob Krar, Stevie Kremer, Joe Grant, Anton Krupicka, and Paul Hamilton.
This video, by Duct Tape TV, follows two of those trail runners, Kremer and Hamilton, as they compete in the team-based race and talk about the crossover between the two sports. Kremer and teammate Lindsay Plant won the women’s division; Hamilton and his teammate Scott Simmons came in second in the men’s, behind John Gaston and Max Taam, also featured in the film.
