The Orcas Island 25K (and its 50K and 100K counterparts) may be one of the only trail races to take place on an island, within the continental U.S. Located in an archipelago off the coast of Washington, just across from Bellingham Bay, Orcas Island features a densely forrested, and surprisingly hilly landscape.
The climbs are steep, and when the region’s notorious rain comes down hard, the terrain often turns muddy and technical. Along the way, racers take in expansive views of the surrounding inlets and islands.
On January 28, 2017, Jeremy Wolf raced to third place. He captured his journey on video.
