The Red Hot 55K/33K is an early-season race in the Utah desert that’s quickly gained a following. This year, around 800 runners took part in the race, which was held on February 13.

This video, by Duct Tape TV, gives viewers a taste of the course—dusty red tracks, high cliffs, snow-speckled slickrock, a backdrop of 13,000-foot peaks—and speaks to a few top runners, including Anna Frost, Joe Grant and 55K winner Jim Walmsley, about what makes the race so special.
