Krista Olson (wife of prolific ultrarunner Timothy Olson), 32, of Boulder Colorado, and her father, Bob Loomis, 61, of Appleton, Wisconsin, decide to try their hand at running the 2016 Pine to Palm 100 Miler through Southern Oregon’s remote and unforgiving landscape. The race has 20,000 feet of climbing; neither Krista nor her father had run 100 miles before.

Filmmaker Sergei Boutenko follows the duo through their journey in this 21-minute film.
