A filmmaker suffers through the epic 100-miler in Washington.

In late August, battered by extreme storms, Ethan Newberry finished the Cascade Crest 100, a 100-mile race in the Central Cascades of Washington State. Newberry produces films about trail running as The Ginger Runner, and, fittingly, he documented his experience. The full film, “Amongst the Evergreens,” will come out in December; a short preview can be viewed below.
