Matt Williamson, a Scottish physiotherapist, is a dedicated ultrarunner, so much so that the sport informs his outlook on the earth and our place in it. But recently, he’s struggled maintain that dedication as he deals with the loss of his father. In this video profile, directed by Jon Earle, Williamson reflects on how he keeps going in the face of adversity, against a backdrop of running the 73K Ultra Trail de les Fonts, a stunning, rugged ultra in the vertiginous mountains of northeastern Spain.
