Eight years ago, after moving to the small mountain town of Crested Butte, Colorado, Stevie Kremer ran her first trail race, a local 11-miler. She finished, in her words, “dead last.” Now, she’s a highly competitive mountain runner with a string of podium finishes, including first, last year, at Switzerland’s storied Sierre-Zinal 31K.
