Trail Runner will be featuring one of Jason Schlarb’s films each week for 13 weeks. Enjoy!

Our five-day running trip through the Dolomites inspired Jeremy Wolf and I to immediately plan our next running adventure together. Patagonia in South America had been a dream location for both of us, so the trip was decided! Some of the most iconic Patagonian landscapes reside in Torres del Paine Chile and Glacier National Park (near El Chalten) Argentina. So that is where we went… “Around Patagonia.”

The first objective was to see these incredible locations via running, the second was to run the famous “O & W” 72 mile loop in Torres del Paine. Third was to go for the Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the loop.

As we expected, half the adventure and fun was in the process of immersing ourselves in a new culture. Getting lost, eating new foods, discovering dinner doesn’t begin until 8 p.m., drinking fantastic $2.00 Argentine wine, discovering everyone sleeps for three hours in the middle of the day, almost running out of gas in the middle of nowhere, camping on the side of the road in unspoiled magnificent Patagonian paradise… these are just a few nuggets of the fun we had in Patagonia.

Wolf and I would also face some really tough decisions that would test not only our physical limits, but our friendship.

Until now, Around Patagonia was pay-per-view; we hope you enjoy the film at the low cost of FREE.
