When 27-year-old Filipino Renson Embradura told his parents he had started running they thought he was making things hard for himself. But Renson wanted to show people, including the disabled, that “hardship is not an obstacle in running,” it’s something runners find community and joy through. He has completed 18 trail races, 22 road races and 7 ultramarathons since 2013, maneuvering the trails aided only by his crutch.
