Back in the day, runners used to connect through trailhead message boards and guest logs. They’d scribble greetings or leave beta sharing valuable information and forging important connections.

People would gather at trailheads for group runs, share gear tips and training advice. Adventures were planned. Race plans were dissected. They’d share stoke and pass on encouragement. They’d welcome new runners into the fold.

Community is alive and well in trail running tradition, and Trail Runner is bringing it into the 21st century.

The Dirt by Trail Runner Magazine is a Facebook group for all things trail running. We hope it can be a space to dive into the issues and passion that underpin off-road adventure. It’s a space to share training and nutrition tips, find races and connect with fellow runners.

You can share your stories and experiences, and connect with our writers and editors. Ultimately, this is a reflection of YOU, our readers. We hope this space solidifies and builds on those bonds. We look forward to getting to know you!
