The Dirt. Saucony’s latest addition to their RAW (Run Anywhere) running line is equipped with an aggressive outsole rubber, and multi-directional lugs for good traction on all terrain. A minimal heel-to-toe drop and lightweight feel make a fast ride for the neutral foot striker. Despite the presence of a rock-hard outsole, deep lugs offered substantial shock absorption. One tester reported its snug-fitting upper put pressure on the top of his feet, but felt secure bounding over obstacles.
Fit. The Peregrine is the trail-running counterpart to Saucony’s popular road shoe, the Kinvara. The toebox is narrow, making it best suited for low- to medium-volume neutral feet.
Best For. Testers found this shoe worked well over a variety of terrain, from pavement to technical singletrack.
