The Dirt. La Sportiva’s new Morphodynamic technology used in the Electron (and their other new shoe, the Quantum) is designed to adapt to the ground on impact. The soft wave-like cushioned outsole with polyurethane (PU) foam filled pockets and an EVA midsole feels like a fat tire underfoot and offers exceptional shock absorption and durability. A soft stretchy, microfiber nylon upper is void of overlays and testers reported it’s built-in mini-gator under the laces kept out debris.
Fit. An ergonomic last and slipper-like upper provide an incredible next-to-foot feel, and fit low- to medium-volume feet. Slight arch-support offers moderate pronation control.
Best For. The Electron is a performance-oriented, low-to-the-ground shoe and feels springy enough to conquer a rugged 5K and last 100 miles. “Lugs” perform best on dry, packed or rocky terrain.
