INOV-8
ROCLITE 275

MSRP: $135
Weight: 9.8 oz (M 9.5), 9.1 oz (W 8.5)
Drop: 8mm
Rock plate: Yes
Fit: True to size

The Roclite 275 (women’s version here) is a new model from Inov-8 that is lightweight, aggressive and has an old-school feel, despite the Graphene G-Grip outsole (a new proprietary outsole by Inov-8 that is strong, light and elastic). This shoe isn’t concerned with plush midsoles, fancy lacing or high-tech drainage systems. It’s fast, has great response and likes to get after it on technical ascents and descents.

Performing well in shorter distances, this is a technical racer, weighing in on the lower end of the spectrum and featuring an 8MM drop. We loved the claw-like grip and turnover of the Roclite 275; if you’re looking for a cushy ride for longer distances, this may not be your best match.

Tester-monial: “The Roclite 275 can take on tough climbs and technical descents like a boss. It’s light enough to feel really agile but with enough structure and protection to keep you feeling comfortable mile after mile.  While the Graphene sole may provide only a minimal performance boost—if any—it could provide some cutting-edge bragging rights at the post-race beer garden.” —Hank Dart, Hailey, Idaho
