Nuu Muu  Classic Dress
Price: $88
Material: Silky polyester (83%) 4-way-stretch spandex (17% )

The best outfit is one that can tackle all activities. Something that can be thrown on for a morning run, layered with a sweater for a bike commute, kept on for an afternoon bouldering session and then rocked downtown for post-workout beers.

That is what makes the Nuu Muu Classic dress so awesome—it was designed specifically for women who have an active lifestyle. It is the all-in-one adorable layer that can easily be mixed and matched to accommodate the activity and the season (try leggings and a fleece in the winter, or by itself in the summertime). This dress is super light and comfy, like wearing an extra long running tank—except there are lots of brilliant patterns to choose from, and it is flattering enough to wear off the trails, too.

The fabric is made of moisture-wicking spandex and polyester, and is SPF 50+. The only built in feature is a lumbar back pocket to stash your phone or keys (all you ladies know just how exciting dress pockets are!). The one downside to the pocket is that if you have something heavy in there, it bounces around a bit if you are on a run. Opt for a more form fitting size to reduce bounce if you run with a phone. There are no other built in features (like bras or compression shorts) for added versatility.

This dress can easily be fancied up with accessories, or dressed down for romping around town or going on a day hike. The versatility makes it an excellent traveling piece, especially considering how small it can pack down! Another added perk for travelers is that it is wrinkle-resistant—you can literally crumple it up in the corner of your backpack and it would still look fabulous the next day. The next test is using it as a water activity piece—it is not see-through when wet, and makes for an easy beach cover-up.
