Craft does breathable baselayers. The selection of baselayer options (men’s here, women’s here) is pretty incredible and vast. One of the latest to the lineup is the Fuseknit Comfort Wrap. This caught our eye at Trail Runner because of the sleek and stylish design. It’s not easy to reinvent the baselayer top, but this one hits the mark.

Flatlock seams are barely noticeable and keep chafing down. The material is soft (not the softest, but soft), durable and very breathable. Extended cuffs (no thumb holes) keep the shirt in place underneath outer layers and the women’s fit (men’s counterpart is here) is snug at the shoulders, well-fitting around the bust and long in the torso to keep out drafts and provide a protective layer.

Recycled materials help this top score high points, but perhaps best of all is the stylish wrap mock turtleneck. The neck is fitted, so it glides underneath jackets and fleeces, but doesn’t rub the chin or chafe the neck. There are plenty of people who will wear this top without anything over it because it looks simple and classy.
