This season’s IceTrekkers remain unchanged, with steel alloy “Diamond Beads” strung onto steel aircraft cable that offer excellent purchase on ice and snow. Due to the lack of rubber or other vulnerable parts underfoot, they hold up to hundreds of miles on snow, ice and rocky, rough ground. The ICETrekkers’ durable (even in subzero temps) rubber sling stays snugly in place and is easy to slip on and off. However, the metal beads that connect it to the traction underfoot can create pressure points atop a running shoe with a flimsy upper.
