3022 ft is a documentary in the works on Alaska’s oldest, toughest and most famous trail race, the Mount Marathon, a roughly three-mile race, straight up and down the 3,022-foot eponymous mountain outside of Seward, Alaska. The race typically draws over 40,000 spectators and is notable for frequently sending participants to the emergency room for injuries sustained on the rugged, trail-less course. In 2012, runner Michael LeMaitre disappeared during the race and was never found.
