Mount Niesen, at 7,749 feet in Switzerland’s Bernese Alps, may not have the extreme elevation of some of the range’s other peaks, but it sure makes up for it in technical footing and sheer drop-offs. (It also holds a brutal stair race each year.)
In this video, filmed on a high ridge on Niesen, Stefan Wyssen picks his way across a narrow strip of rock and grass that separates two multi-thousand-foot drops.
