Alex Falconer set out to traverse the Boundary Waters of Minnesota in May 2021. He would ultimately set a new FKT across the 110-mile stretch.
“If you’re going to run at that effort, it’s almost like jumping off a dock—as soon as you jump, you’re going in the water. You can’t turn around,” Merry explains.
In late June or early July, Adam Merry will attempt to claim the FKT on Colorado’s Mount Yale 360 trail. As he looks forward to this attempt, Merry is grateful for a coaching philosophy that centers both mental and physical training, and the opportunity to race and train in HOKA ONE ONE Zinal shoes.
For the second time in a year, he reset what anyone thought was possible on the route.

Suzanne "Sunny" Stroeer is known for plucking FKTs because of her sense of adventure and love for challenging and unknown terrain. She DNF'd the Pfiffner Traverse twice before snagging the FKT this summer.
