Redemption Race Productions has been putting on a duathlon at this park for five years, and decided to offer a designated trail run (with 10K and 25K distances) this year. The 10K course involves a lap around the perimeter of Enchanted Rock, then a challenging climb to the finish line on top of the Rock. “In the past five years, only one athlete that we know of has run up the Rock without walking,” says race director Brian Schmidt. The race will be chip-timed and offer finisher medals and, for age-group winners, custom granite-rock awards. Kielbasa sausage wraps and other goodies at the post-race party round it out!
