Tech: BOA Fit System, Mono-Panel Configuration, and PWRRUN+ Midsole
The Saucony Switchback 2 is the next generation of Saucony’s BOA-powered trail shoe, featuring a revolutionary new shoe upper with a Tri-Panel construction integrated beneath a Mono-Panel design.
One of the highlights of the Switchback 2 is its BOA Fit System, which is engineered from BOA’s durable L6 micro-adjustable dial, lightweight and strong TX4 laces, and FormTX low-friction lace guides to guarantee a smooth closure. Leveraging BOA’s scientific studies in their Performance Fit Lab, the system is integrated on the lateral side of the shoe, with the Mono-Panel upper wrapping around the top of the foot. This configuration connects the foot to the midsole and is designed to improve agility and speed.
The Switchback 2 is designed like a bootie to keep out dirt and debris, and also includes a rock guard, as well as Saucony’s new ultra-responsive PWRRUN+ midsole, the most responsive midsole the brand has ever placed into a trail shoe. All said, the Switchback 2 is a reliable and lightweight performance shoe that will tackle the toughest of trails with power and precision.
