Drymax Hyper Thin Running Mini
Material: 73% Drymax Olefin, 11% polyester, 11% nylon, 5% elastan
Best Features: lightweight, breathable, nonslip, keep feet dry
Room for Improvement: not for cold weather
The Drymax Hyper Thin Running sock lives up to its name; these are absolutely some of the lightest socks on the market. Despite their thinness, the socks hold up well, even after numerous runs. Drymax uses a “moisture hating non-wicking” material on the inner layer of the sock, keeping sweat and moisture off the foot.
This is a great sock if you struggle with bunching in your shoe or if other socks make your shoes feel too tight. Because they are “Hyper Thin,” they are not meant for cold temperatures or to provide extra cushioning.
Because of how light they are, there is a cooling sensation when putting them on. These socks made their debut run on a trail in the rain and, although the socks did get wet, they stayed snug and never got that “spongy” wetness that heavier-weight socks get when wet.
These are an excellent design and style for racing in a lightweight shoe or if there is potential for your feet to get wet. Super breathable, airy and comfortable, they are a great addition to your race day attire.
