THANK YOU TO ALL THE PARTICIPATING RACES!

Trail Runner Trophy Series, so the sooner you act, the better chance your event has of being accepted. Please note that registering your race for the
Trail Runner race calendar (which you can do any time in the year) is not the same as registering for the Trophy Series.
Register your event for the
2010 Trophy Series here.
Review the 2010 agreement and submit your race information by Monday,
November 30, 2009. Make sure to include YOUR NAME in the form. Your Trophy Series participation will not be recognized unless you submit the form and include your email address. Forms can also be printed out and faxed to (970) 963-4965.

Trail Runner magazine, the leading publication for off-road running, presents the 2010 Trophy Series, the world's largest points-based trail-race series with over 25,000 participants throughout North America. Its goal is to encourage participation in as many Trophy Series races as possible, awarding points and prizes to participants based on the distance they run and place in their category.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The
Trail Runner Trophy Series is a North American points series featuring around 126 specially selected trail races held between March 1 and September 30. All runners completing a registered Trophy Series event automatically receive points in one of two divisions:
- Marathon and Longer (races longer than 26 miles).
- Non-marathon (races less than 26 miles).

Important:
- For inclusion in the Trophy Series, a race must take place off-road and/or on trails. No paved-road, multi-sport or snowshoe races, please. Only one of every three races in a series may participate, with a "series" defined as a number of races organized by the same race director.
- Your race must have at least 25 participants to qualify.
- You must submit all results (for all Trophy Series Races longer than one mile) with complete names and addresses for all finishers along with their age, gender, place and time. Please do not commit to the Trophy Series if you are unable to submit race results with all of this information in a timely manner. Canadian race directors should take note that they need to tell racers that this information will be shared with Trail Runner magazine.
- The list of Trophy Series races will be final as of December 9. After this time, no races will be added. This includes existing races adding another distance to accommodate shorter or longer distance runners (e.g., if a Trophy Series race, the XYZ Marathon, adds a 10K event in mid-July, the distance will not be eligible for Trophy Series points). The official Trophy Series directory will be posted to Trail Runner's web site, www.trailrunnermag.com and in print versions of the magazine.
- Trail Runner magazine reserves the right to remove a race from the Trophy Series if race organizers do not provide final results in the correct format within the agreed-upon time frame. In the event that race directors do not provide results within the required time frame, participants of that event will not receive points for their completed miles.
- Trail Runner magazine collects runners' contact information for use only in communications related to the Trophy Series and Trail Runner magazine. Trail Runner does not sell or share this information with any outside party.
